"Science is for the Welfare of the Whole World"

If we describe’ Science’ shortly, then it would be, the systematic knowledge based on experimental observations for an investigation, which is derived from the Latin word. The world-famous scientist once said – Science is blind without religion and religion is handicapped without science. Yes, it is absolutely correct and we must say the whole world is tied with the strong rope of science.

As we know nowadays science and applied science developing gradually & it is helping us to lead our life much better and easier. So, we can’t avoid science at all. It is a very important day to recall all the memory which science has given to us. Definitely, I will say that we must know about this Indian National Science Day.

History of National Science Day

The most eminent and outstanding Indian scientist Sir Chandrasekhar Venkat Raman (famously known as CV Raman) established his experimental thesis known as ‘ Raman Effect’, which he declared officially on 28th February in 1928.

He did a great discovery and globally became known for this contribution. Due to his discovery of the Raman Effect, he was honoured and awarded,

• The world-famous ‘Nobel Prize’ in 1930 in physics and he was the first Asian to receive this award in physics.
• Respectfully awarded with the 1st ‘Bharat Ratna’ award in 1954.
• And was also greatly honoured with the greatest award of Russia’ Lenin Peace’ in the year 1956.

The National Council for Science & Technology Communication made a proposal to our central government to observe National Science Day every year on 28th February to commemorate CV Raman’s great historic discovery Raman Effect.

Thereafter our government agreed to their declaration in 1986 and announced to celebrate National Science Day according to NCSTC’s proposal date. Then in 1987 on February 28 the first National Science Day was observed countrywide.

Objectives and purpose of celebrating this day

The main objective of this National Science Day is to aware people of our country about science. Add to this, it inspires children or students to choose science as their career. We can’t ignore them as they are our future to lead our nation in a progressive way. Many science-related programmes are organised to attract and inspire the thirsty students.

Likewise, our future generations by their extraordinary efforts achieve glorious success in the field of science and then yes, it will be our nation’s pride. The celebration purpose is to support and inspire new innovations of innovative scientists or students. The important aim of this celebration also is to make known publicly about the importance of science and scientific achievement of the whole world.

 Safer Internet Day

Safer Internet Day 2021 celebrates on 09 February every year, in this the amazing range of information and opportunities online, and its potential to inform, connect and inspire us, whilst also looking at how young people can separate fact from fiction.

The campaign focuses on how we can decide what to trust online, supporting young people to question, challenge and change the online world for the better. It will explore how influence, persuasion and manipulation can impact young people’s decisions, opinions and what they share online.

The day will also look at the emotional impact navigating a misleading online world can have on young people and why it is important to create a supportive, critical and questioning culture online that encourages debate and discussion. We want to give young people the skills to support one another, and the strategies to spot and speak out against harmful and misleading content online.

What is Safer Internet Day?

Coordinated in the UK by the UK Safer Internet Centre, Safer Internet Day is celebrated globally in February each year to promote the safe and positive use of digital technology for children and young people and inspire a national conversation.

The campaign sees over 1,700 organisations unite to raise awareness of online safety issues and run events and activities right across the UK. 

Globally, Safer Internet Day is celebrated in over a hundred countries, coordinated by the joint Insafe/INHOPE network, with the support of the European Commission, and national Safer Internet Centres across Europe.

 The theme for Safer Internet Day is “Together for a Better Internet“, 

History of Safer Internet Day

Safer Internet Day came to exist officially in 2012, when the US Department of Homeland Security and the European Commission decided it was time to help shepherd the growing beast that was the Internet into a playground that was safer for our youth. In America things got really going in 2013 when ConnectSafely.org was appointed to coordinate the efforts in the American theater, and they’ve been driving it forward a little more every year. Each year they choose a theme to help promote, and a goal that they intend to reach. What kinds of goals?

In 2015 they began to promote that year’s theme “Actions & Activism Toward a Better Net & World”, where they focused on concerns like bullying and integration with the National Parent Teacher Association, and working to use technology to help effect social change. This is a particularly powerful use of the tool, given that people from every walk of life and culture from around the world can connect and communicate in ways they never could before. That’s what the Internet was for, what it brought to us, and the world it helped bring together.

 विश्व  कैंसर  दिवस

विश्व भर में 04 फरवरी को हर साल  विश्व  कैंसर  दिवस  मनाया जाता है।   साल 2019   से 2021   तक तीन साल के लिए विश्व कैंसर दिवस का विषय रखा गया है "मैं हूं और मैं रहूंगा" है। जिसका मतलब है कि हर किसी में क्षमता है कि वह कैंसर से लड़ सकता है। इसी थीम के अनुसार इन तीन सालों में कार्यक्रम होंगे। 

Theme of World Cancer Day 2021 :  "I Am and I Will' campaign"

दुनिया की सभी जानलेवा बीमारियों में कैंसर सबसे ख़तरनाक है क्योंकि कई बार इसके लक्षणों का पता ही नहीं चलता। जब इस बिमारी के होने का खुलासा होता है, तब तक काफी देर हो चुकी है और कैंसर पूरे शरीर में फैल चुका होता है। इसी वजह से कई लोगों को उचित इलाज का समय ही नहीं मिल पाता और उनकी मौत हो जाती है। अगर वक्त पर कैंसर की बीमारी का पता चल जाए तो इसका इलाज संभव है। साल 2018 में कैंसर की बीमारी की वजह से दुनियाभर में 96 लाख से ज़्यादा मौतें हुई थीं।

विश्व कैंसर दिवस की स्थापना अंतरराष्ट्रीय कैंसर नियंत्रण संघ (यूआईसीसी) द्वारा की गई। यह एक अग्रणीय वैश्विक एनजीओ है। इसका लक्ष्य विश्व कैंसर घोषणा, 2008 के लक्ष्यों की प्राप्ति करना है। इसका प्राथमिक लक्ष्य 2021 तक कैंसर से होने वाली मौतों को कम करना है। अंतर्राष्ट्रीय कैंसर नियंत्रण संघ (यूआईसीसी) की स्थापना साल 1933 में हुई थी। इस दिवस पर विभिन्न सरकारी एवं गैर-सरकारी संस्थाओं द्वारा कैंसर से बचाव के विभिन्न अभियान चलाए।

इसके पूर्व पहचान या रोकथाम के लिए कैंसर से बचाव के उपाय और ख़तरों के बारे में आम लोगों को जागरुक करने के लिए विश्व कैंसर दिवस मनाया जाता है। लोगों को लगता है कि यह बीमारी छूने से फैलती है इसलिए कैंसर से पीड़ित व्यक्ति को समाज में घृणा और अछूत के रूप में देखा जाता है। आम लोगों में कैंसर से संबंधित विभिन्न प्रकार के सामाजिक मिथक हैं जैसे कि कैंसर पीड़ित के साथ रहने या स्पर्श से उन्हें भी ये घातक बीमारी हो सकती है। इस तरह के मिथक को ख़त्म करने के लिए भी ये दिन मनाया जाता है। इसके होने के कारण, लक्षण और उपचार आदि जैसे कैंसर की सभी वास्तविकता के बारे में सामान्य जागरुकता बनाने के लिए इसे मनाया जाता है।

लोगों को जागरुक करने के लिए इस दिन पर विभिन्न प्रकार के कार्यक्रम आयोजित किए जाते हैं कि कैंसर से पीड़ित व्यक्ति को अलग से उपचारित न किया जाए, उन्हें समाज में एक आम इंसान की तरह जीने का अधिकार होना चाहिए और कोई भी रिश्ता उनके लिए बदलना नहीं चाहिए। अपने रिश्तेदारों के द्वारा उनकी हर इच्छाओं को पूरा करना चाहिए भले ही उनके जीने की उम्मीद कम क्यों न हों। ये बहुत ज़रूरी है कि उन्हें एक आम इंसान की तरह अच्छा महसूस कराना चाहिए और ऐसा प्रतीत नहीं कराना चाहिए जैसे उनको कुछ उपचार दिया जा रहा है क्योंकि वो मरने वाले हैं। उन्हें आत्म-सम्मान को महसूस करने की ज़रूरत है और अपने समाज और घर में एक सामान्य वातावरण की ज़रूरत है।

कैंसर पर नियंत्रण पाना ज़रूरी

आंकड़ों के अनुसार, ये ध्यान देने योग्य है कि ज्यादातर कैंसर के मामले और मौतें (47% और 55% क्रमश:) विश्व के कम विकसित क्षेत्रों में सामने आए हैं। अगर ये नियंत्रित नहीं किया गया, तो 2030 तक ये और खतरनाक स्तर पर पहुंच सकती हैं। इसलिए ये बहुत ज़रूरी है कि इसे दुनिया के हर कोने में नियंत्रित किया जाए।

कैंसर की उपस्थिति के ख़तरे को घटाने के लिए अपनी अच्छी जीवनशैली, नियंत्रित आहार, नियमित वर्कआउट के बारे में इस कार्यक्रम के दौरान लोगों को अच्छे से बढ़ावा दिया जाता है। उन्हें अपने शराब की लत, अस्वास्थ्यकर आहार और शारीरिक स्थिरता से मुक्त कराने के लिए बढ़ावा दिया जाता है।

Indian Army Day (15 January 2021)

सेना दिवस

15 जनवरी का दिन भारतीय सेना के लिए बेहद खास है। इस दिन को भारतीय थल सेना आर्मी डे के रूप में मनाती है। भारतीय सेना शुक्रवार को अपना 73वां स्थापना दिवस मना रही है। इस मौके पर राजधानी दिल्ली में कैंट स्थित करियप्पा ग्राउंड में सेना दिवस परेड का आयोजन किया जाएगा। थलसेना प्रमुख जनरल एमएम नरवणे परेड की सलामी लेंगे और सैनिकों को संबोधित करेंगे।

आर्मी डे के मौके पर चीफ ऑफ डिफेंस स्टाफ जनरल बिपिन रावत ने अपना संदेश देते हुए कहा कि 'हम उन वीर जवानों को श्रद्धांजलि देते हैं और उनका आभार व्यक्त करते हैं, जिनकी कर्तव्य के प्रति वीरता और सर्वोच्च बलिदान हमें नए सिरे से दृढ़ता के साथ खुद को समर्पित करने के लिए प्रेरित करता है।

करिअप्पा के सम्मान में हर साल मनाया जाता है सेना दिवस

15 जनवरी को आर्मी डे मनाने के पीछे दो बड़ी वजह है। पहला यह कि 15 जनवरी 1949 के दिन से ही भारतीय सेना पूरी तरह ब्रिटिश थल सेना से मुक्त हुई थी। दूसरी इसी दिन जनरल केएम करियप्पा को भारतीय थल सेना का कमांडर इन चीफ बनाया गया था। इस तरह लेफ्टिनेंट करियप्पा लोकतांत्रिक भारत के पहले सेना प्रमुख बने थे। केएम करियप्पा ‘किप्पर’ नाम से काफी मशहूर थे। दरअसल 15 अगस्त 1947 को देश के आजाद होने के बाद ब्रिटिश इंडियन आर्मी दो हिस्से में बंट गई थी। एक पाकिस्तान आर्मी और दूसरा हिस्सा इंडियन आर्मी बनी थी।

28 जनवरी 1899 को कर्नाटक के कुर्ग में जन्मे करिअप्पा फील्ड मार्शल के पद पर पहुंचने वाले इकलौते भारतीय हैं। फील्ड मार्शल सैम मानेकशा दूसरे ऐसे अधिकारी थे, जिन्हें फील्ड मार्शल का रैंक दिया गया था।

करिअप्पा ने 1947 में पाकिस्तान के खिलाफ युद्ध में अदम्य साहस और दमदार नेतृत्व का परिचय दिया था। पाकिस्तान के युद्ध के समय उन्हें पश्चिमी कमान का जीओसी-इन-सी बनाया गया था। उनके नेतृत्व में भारत ने जोजीला, द्रास और करगिल पर पाकिस्तानी सेना को हराया था।

केएम करियप्पा परेड ग्राउंड पर कार्यक्रम का आयोजन

इस खास मौके पर पूरा देश सेना के वीर जवानों के अदम्य साहस, शहीद जवानों की शहादत को याद करता है। देशभर में सेना की अलग-अलग रेजिमेंट में परेड के साथ ही झांकियां भी निकाली जाती हैं। 

वहीं इस खास मौके पर फील्ड मार्शल केएम करियप्पा परेड ग्राउंड पर सेना दिवस समारोह के लिए एक कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया जा रहा है।

इस दिन दिल्ली की इंडिया गेट पर बनी अमर जवान ज्योति पर शहीदों को श्रद्धांजलि दी जाती है। साथ ही शहीदों की विधवाओं या परिवारवालों को सेना मेडल और अन्य पुरस्कारों से सम्मानित किया जाता है। भारतीय आर्मी का गठन 1776 में ईस्ट इंडिया कंपनी ने कोलकाता में किया था। आज भारतीय आर्मी के 53 कैंटोनमेंट और नौ आर्मी बेस हैं।

 राष्ट्रीय युवा दिवस

आज, 12 जनवरी को राष्ट्रीय युवा दिवस है। प्रत्येक वर्ष 12 जनवरी को स्वामी विवेकानंद के जन्म-दिवस को राष्ट्रीय युवा दिवस के तौर पर मनाया जाता है। विश्व भर में सर्वाधिक प्रसिद्ध दार्शनिकों एवं माँक में से एक स्वामी विवेकानंद का जन्म 12 जनवरी 1863 को हुआ था। भारत सरकार द्वारा वर्ष 1984 में 12 जनवरी को राष्ट्रीय युवा दिवस के तौर पर मनाये जाने की घोषणा यह कहते हुए की गयी थी कि स्वामी विवेकानंद के विचारों एवं आदर्शों को युवाओं के लिए प्रेरणास्रोत हैं। इसके बाद वर्ष 1985 से हर वर्ष 12 जनवरी को राष्ट्रीय युवा दिवस के तौर मनाया जाता है।

Theme 2021: "Utsah Naye Bharat Ka"

आज, राष्ट्रीय युवा दिवस 2021 के दिन आइए जानते हैं स्वामी विवेकानंद के बारे में ऐसी बातों को जानते हैं जो कि युवाओं के लिए आज भी प्रेरणास्रोत हैं। स्वामी विवेकानंद हर बच्चे में आशा की किरण देखते थे जो कि राष्ट्र के निर्माण में योगदान दे सकता है। उन्होंने युवाओं के सामर्थ्य के सही इस्तेमाल पर अत्यधिक बल देते थे। शिक्षा एवं शांति के साथ स्वामी विवेकानंद में सम्पूर्ण विश्व के युवाओं को प्रभावित किया और युवाओ को प्रेरित किया कि वे अपना कम्फर्ट जोन से बाहर निकलें और जो भी वो पाना चाहते हैं उसके लिए प्रयास करके उसे प्राप्त करें। स्वामी विवेकानंद ने राष्ट्र के निर्माण में शिक्षा के महत्व को लेकर कहते थे कि युवाओं को सशक्त बनाने के लिए शिक्षा एक मूल साधन है।

दर्शनशास्र् , धर्म, साहित्य, वेद, पुराण और उपनिषद की बेहद अच्छी जानकारी रखने वाले समाज सुधारक और आध्यात्मिक गुरू, स्वामी विवेकानंद की कई ऐसे वक्तव्य हैं जो कि आज के युवाओं को प्रेरणा देते हैं, आइए इनमें से कुछ को जानते हैं।

• उठो, जागो और तब तक मत रुको जब तक लक्ष्य की प्राप्ति न हो जाए।
• मेरे साहसी युवाओं, यह विश्वास रखो कि तुम ही सब कुछ हो – महान कार्य करने के लिए इस धरती पर आए हो। चाहे वज्र भी गिरे, तो भी निडर हो खड़े हो जाना और कार्य में लग जाना। साहसी बनो।
• जब तक आप खुद पर विश्वास नहीं करते तब तक आप भगवान पर विश्वास नहीं कर सकते।
• जब लोग तुम्हे गाली दें तो तुम उन्हें आशीर्वाद दो।सोचो, तुम्हारे झूठे दंभ को बाहर निकालकर वो तुम्हारी कितनी मदद कर रहे हैं।
• मेरा विश्वास युवा पीढ़ी, आधुनिक पीढ़ी में है। वे सिंह की भांति सभी समास्याओं से लड़ सकते हैं।

National road safety week 

National road safety week is celebrated from 11th January to 17th January every year in our country India to create awareness about road safety and minimize road accidents & save a life.

In 2021 we are celebrating 32nd National Road Safety Week. At first in the year 1989 awareness for the National Road Safety Week was celebrated and at that time about 36,000 had lost their lives. So this tragic story is related to the observation of this awareness week.

32nd National Road Safety Week 2021 theme, ‘Safe yourself to save your family’. Apply all the safety measures while going through a vehicle and always follow the traffic rules.

If we do not save ourselves then it is more chance to be in problem. Only you and I know how important we are for our family. Keep it in mind and drive safe drive carefully.

• Approximately 4,67,000 accidents were happening per year in India and about 1,50,000/ year are dying of it.
• According to WHO (World Health Organisation), the top 3 main reasons for traffic collision are, over speed limit driving, under the influence of driving, not wearing of seat belts & helmets.
• It is identified that accidents in India put an impact on losing GDP by about 2%.

हिंदी भाषा का हम भारतीय के जीवन में बहुत महत्व है. हर साल 10 जनवरी को विश्व हिन्दी दिवस मनाया जाता है. इसको मनाने का मुख्य उद्देश्य विश्वभर में हिन्दी भाषा के प्रचार-प्रसार को बढ़ाना है और जागरूकता फैलाना है. 10 जनवरी 2006 को भारत के पूर्व प्रधानमन्त्री मनमोहन सिंह ने हर साल विश्व हिन्दी दिवस मनाने की घोषणा की थी | उसके बाद से ही भारतीय विदेश मंत्रालय ने विदेश में 10 जनवरी 2006 को पहली बार विश्व हिन्दी दिवस मनाया था |

विश्व हिंदी दिवस का इतिहास

हिंदी को दुनियाभर में जन-जन तक पहुंचाने और अंतरराष्ट्रीय पहचान दिलाने हेतु 10 जनवरी, सन 1975 को पहला विश्व हिंदी सम्मेलन नागपुर में आयोजित किया किया गया। इस सम्मेलन में दुनियाभर के 30 देशों के 122 प्रतिनिधियों ने शिरकत की। इस दिन ही विश्व हिंदी दिवस मनाने का प्रस्ताव पेश किया गया। इसके बाद साल 2006 में प्रधानमंत्री मनमोहन सिंह ने 10 जनवरी को विश्व हिंदी दिवस मनाने की घोषणा की। इस साल विदेश में पहली बार भारतीय दूतावासों में विश्व हिंदी दिवस मनाया गया। इसकी शुरआत नॉर्वे के भारतीय दूतावास से हुई थी।

विश्व हिंदी दिवस का महत्व

इस दिन देश-दुनिया में लोग एक दूसरे को विश्व हिंदी दिवस की शुभकामनाएं देते हैं। विश्व हिंदी के मौके पर देश और दुनिया में एकसाथ हिंदी भाषा में कई संगोष्ठी किए जाते हैं। साथ ही विदेश में स्थित सैंकड़ों व‍िश्‍वविद्यालयों में विश्व हिंदी दिवस मनाया जाता है। जहां, हिंदी पढ़ाई जाती है। ऐसा माना जाता है कि हिंदी दुनिया में सबसे अधिक बोली जाने वाली भाषाओं में पांचवे स्थान पर है। यह हर भारतीय के लिए गौरव की बात है। वहीं, फिजी में हिंदी को आधिकारिक भाषा का दर्जा प्राप्त है।

हिंदी है दुनिया में चौथी सबसे अधिक बोले जानी वाली भाषा

यह भारत की दो आधिकारिक भाषाओं में से एक है और मंदारिन, स्पेनिश और अंग्रेजी के बाद दुनिया में चौथी सबसे अधिक बोली जाने वाली पहली भाषा है. हर साल 10 जनवरी को दिन मनाया जाता है. कश्मीर से कन्याकुमारी तक, साक्षर से निरक्षर तक प्रत्येक वर्ग का व्यक्ति हिन्दी भाषा को आसानी से बोल-समझ लेता है. यही इस भाषा की पहचान भी है कि इसे बोलने और समझने में किसी को कोई परेशानी नहीं होती.

विश्व ब्रेल दिवस: 4 जनवरी

 विश्व ब्रेल दिवस

प्रत्येक वर्ष 4 जनवरी को विश्व ब्रेल दिवस के रूप में मनाया जाता है। विश्व ब्रेल दिवस 2019 के बाद से दृष्टि बाधित और दृष्टि-विहीन लोगों के लिए मानवाधिकार हासिल करने में संचार के साधन के रूप में ब्रेल के महत्व के बारे में जागरूकता बढ़ाने के लिए मनाया जाता है।

यह दिवस दृष्टि बाधित लोगों के लिए ब्रेल लिपि विकसित करने वाले लुई ब्रेल की जयंती को चिन्हित करने के लिए मनाया जाता है। लुई ब्रेल का जन्म उत्तरी फ्रांस के कूपवरे (Coupvray) शहर में चार जनवरी 1809 को हुआ था।

आज विश्व ब्रेल दिवस मनाया जा रहा है। दृष्टि बाधित लोगों के लिए ब्रेल लिपि विकसित करने वाले लुई ब्रेल की जयंती के अवसर पर यह दिवस मनाया जाता है। लुई ब्रेल का जन्म उत्तरी फ्रांस के कूपवरे (Coupvray) शहर में चार जनवरी 1809 को हुआ था। तीन वर्ष की अल्प आयु में एक दुर्घटना में उनकी दोनों आंखों की रोशनी चली गई थी। इसके उपरांत छह उभरे हुए बिंदुओं की भाषा विकसित की गई जिसे ब्रेल के नाम से जाना जाता है।
